In late March 2015, Vanuatu introduced a legislated citizenship program to support national reconstruction, offering a fast route to a Commonwealth passport.

Eligibility

  • The main applicant must be at least 18.

  • The main applicant must have no criminal record.

  • Family assets equivalent to USD 250,000, including deposits or property.

  • Children under 25 and parents over 50 may be included.

Program Benefits

  • Rapid processing: as little as 30 days for a single applicant, typically 1–2 months. The source program describes online processing without arrival or interview requirements and a 100% approval rate.

  • No personal income, capital gains, inheritance, gift or property taxes.
